Petali Red-Diamantakis Winery

In the era of Crete's Venetian occupation, the nuns of St. Antony monastery filled with the wooden sound of their looms,heard till Asitees. During the centuries the monastery became deserted but the rhythmic wooden sounds lingering over the soil were absorbed by the unique indigenous grapes of Crete. Today, a vivid example is the Cretan grape variety Liatiko, which trough its unique aromatic profile reveals the endless richness of the Cretan vineyard.
